I am here to help you and to be your trusted attorney and advisor through the challenges of your divorce from your spouse. You deserve to be treated with empathy, respect, and kindness, but you also need tough, honest advice at times to help you move your divorce toward its resolution.
I have over a decade of trial litigation experience in divorce and family law, and will never hesitate to litigate the most important matters in your case if there is no other way. I am also experienced in valuation and division of complex marital assets, such as professional services business income, commercial real estate investments, intellectual property portfolios, and various kinds of complex retirement savings accounts and family trusts.
But I will counsel you frankly, and also in my position as an attorney mediator, to consider finding compromise solutions to the major issues of your divorce regarding your children, your assets, and your financial obligations to your former spouse in the future, or vice versa. Where necessary, I will advise you to utilize complementary professionals in mental health or financial areas should the need arise.
I have a large network of trusted professionals to whom I can refer you and your spouse in these areas to also keep your matters focused on where your specific needs arise. Throughout the entire process, I will not hesitate to seek creative, efficient solutions in order to help you find your way forward. Because while divorce is an end in some ways, it can also be a new beginning.
Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements
You may need to protect premarital assets or business interests from being subject to the default property division statutes in Connecticut or in New York. Should you need to do so, you may contact me to discuss the drafting of a prenuptial agreement, or in cases where you have already gotten married, but wish to modify or add terms to your property division agreement from your prenuptial agreement, please contact me to discuss, and I will happily use my experience to help you.
I also act as review counsel for other colleagues and attorneys for these agreements, so feel free to contact me should you need independent review counsel of your choosing to give you experienced advise on the provisions of your prenuptial agreement.
