The Connecticut Department of Children and Families, also commonly known as DCF, is an aggressive, at times overreaching, and sometimes violative administrative agency tasked in the State of Connecticut with apparently protecting children from abuse and neglect, while also prosecuting juvenile matters cases in the juvenile court system with the aid of the Attorney General’s office.
Where DCF often fails in that it has little or no regard for your rights as a parent, which are constitutionally protected, and entitled to full due process at law in the Connecticut juvenile justice system, as well as in the administrative proceedings where you have the right to appeal the substantiation by DCF of charges of abuse or neglect against you.
I have successfully defended clients in juvenile matters cases in court, and won substantiation appeal hearings against DCF where a hearing officer reversed neglect charges after testimony and evidence proved such charges against my clients by DCF in its reports were misguided or not supported by fact.
You have a right to defend yourself as a parent. You have a right not to be harassed by DCF, and you have the right to defend your parental and custody rights to your children. Please contact me immediately if you need assistance in neglect or abuse cases against DCF.
